For this year The California Chi has many new products, designs, fabrics, and sizes. Some new items will be listed this week.

Along with the new items, giveaways will be held every month. This month a package of The Original Mini Bone toys will be given away. The winner can pick from these following theme categories: Boy, Girl, Birthday, Random/Surprise, and Holidays: Valentine, St. Patrick's, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

I know it’s been a long while since I last updated my blog. College took over my life, as well as custom orders.

This semester, is an 18 unit roller-coaster. Currently I’m working on re-activating the school Fashion Club.

All of my creative time is consumed by homework and the club. Usually I only get to work on custom orders, so they are shipped on time.

Thankfully, I’m saved a trip to the post office, since there is one on campus, lol.

I'm working several new lines of products.

Hoping to have some Easter clothes and toys posted soon.

I'll update later with some pictures.

August is full of new and exciting things.

The Summer sale has started and is running till October 1st.

The proceeds go to charity. This month we are contributing to the Pet Finder Foundation, in addition to the SPCA.

Featured Pet

I've decided to feature one of my pets every now and then in my blog. Today I am featuring my beloved Chihuahua TAMA.

Tama is my ultimate companion. He loves to go with me everywhere. At 3 months old I adopted him after the loss of my first Chihuahua, Sienna. Poor Tama was quarantined for 3 weeks, at the time my sister adopted a Chihuahua puppy that was quite frail. :(

He loved dressing up since puppyhood. Since he loved clothes so much he decided to chew the power cord to my sewing machine. I think he realized when he didn't recieve any new clothes for 2 weeks that he should leave the cord alone. Since then he hasn't touched it, nor has he let any of the other Chiahuhua's touch the cords.

Going to school in a purse is one of his favorite things to do. Never barks just sits in his purse throughout a class. We have done several presentations together at school for my pet apparel business, The California Chi.

Every year Tama and the rest of his pack enter PetSmart's Halloween costume contest. Tama won 3rd place in 2008, and received a $5.00 gift card.

We also take a family picture with Sanat Paws every year.

Tama is with me all the time at home. from when I go to sleep to when I get up in the morning he sticks by me. He refuses to leave my side and eat when he knows I'm sick. He's the Sweetest and most caring Chihuahua I know.

Summer is Here!!!

Well Summer is finally here. Now the days grow shorter as we descend into the next season. I have been working on many new and exciting things.

There are always so many ideas in my head. Never enough time to execute them, sometimes the right resources are not to be found. I try and sketch or make notes to keep my mind clear and my ideas safe in one place.

Currently I have been working on many items. I started listing some today in my Etsy store.
I've also been trying to stock pile as many pieces as I can for craft and or pet shows.

Something amazing happened to me today. I sold 12 articles of pet apparel to one client. I've worked on 12 articles of clothing at one time for several customers recently, but I haven't sold that many to an individual in a long time.

It always feels good when you make a big sale. I find it exhilarating as well as motivating. I now want to list as many things as I can in all three of my online stores.

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to this blog site, so my blog may look and be a little boring for now. In the mean time you will find update here for my online stores, new items, and current projects in process.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME. . .
I'm a college student majoring in Fashion Merchandising in California. I started my custom pet apparel business, The California Chi in 2001. My 4 Chihuahua's are my inspiration.

Crafting, Creating, and Designing are my favorite pass times. I'm always open to new crafts.
My experience with Art, Design, and Crafting is extensive thanks to my parents, both of which are art enthusiasts.

I enjoy custom orders. I feel my clients provide new challenges for me to overcome.
